I wanted to ski the Nisqually Chute, but a 6 am departure from Seattle was not sufficiently alpine. Skinned from the Paradise parking lot ('they paved Paradise and put up a parking lot' - "Big Yellow Taxi", Joni Mitchell, 1970) No ski crampons necessary today. The Chute was too soft by my judgment to try by myself. Consoled myself with two runs from Muir to Pebble Creek. Warm, windy, beautiful, and good skiing above Pebble Creek. A couple of other skiers were out. There was the usual climbing circus, including a concussed client being evacuated by sled (icefall on Ingraham Glacier) and a helicopter on some non-obvious mission. 7000vf, 7 miles.
Two laps?
Brent, did you forget you're not a kid anymore?
You're an animal.
Proly got back to the car about 1:30, too, huh?
