Met up with Dave, Tim, Scott, and Bill in Enumclaw and we headed up to Sunrise. We skied N from the trail down Antler peak, then up the ridge to some more NW facing lines from the summit of Antler, a snack at some wetland at the base of the peak, then back up the ridge, and up our first run to the trail. The snow on our first run was pretty firm but definately carvable, while the NW facing runs taken around 11am were starting to corn up. It was a great group of skiers - I enjoyed meeting all of you guys.
Here is a shot of Lil Tahoma, Whitman, and Frying Pan area taken from Antler to give an idea of conditions out that way.

Myself, and father-son splitboard duo Jay and Jaime were out that way as well. Never saw your group, but we did run into Silas, Scotsman, and Sidnie who were making some fine turns off some steep chutes on Sourdough. We were up on the ridge at about 9 am. We ventured all the way down to Dege Pk (still don't know how to pronounce it) and then worked our way back towards Antler in the afternoon. What a great place to ski! I felt like a little kid walking through a theme park trying to decide which ride to take 1st. As said, the snow was firm in the a.m. but then softened up perfectly close to noon. With cold beer waiting at the parking lot we called it good by about 2 pm. I'll have to return here again before the chutes melt out, I'm hooked on Sunrise!
Nice to see you again Merk, and likely we saw RonL and team heading off the summit as we skied into the basin further east, before moving to Antler. Dege at the end of the day was nicely smoothed by the earlier groups, thanks. Great weather, good breeze and clouds to keep the heat at bay. Frost feathers on ridge crest bushes earlier in the day indicated precipitation overnight, though not enough to show up on the snow surface. Hope to see today's report; 5000' FL?!!
Definitely a great day out there with my crew, I hope to ski with you all in the future...
If it's at all possible to get those photos from Bill or Scott I'd greatly appreciate it.
