went up for a quick tour yesterday (in honor of summer solstice).  left the baker upper lot under cloudy skies.  made it up to the ptarmagin ridge, but was getting socked in with clouds and rain.  still LOTSA okay snow up there...for those wanting to make turns into the summer.  Pendelton clothing company was up there shooting for a cataloge at the cabin...it is pretty cool to be touring and then get back to cold beers in the car and have there be an RV full of models next to you..
That's a bummer (about the weather....not about the models).  Three of us headed out to Artist Point to celebrate the summer snowlstice as well.  We took off after work at 4pm and were greeted by sunshine and broken clouds.  We did two laps into Bagley Basin and the snow wasn’t bad even though it was fairly covered in pollen.  There’s probably a good 5’ of snow still on top of the road that leads to Artist Point.  Hopefully we’ll get easy turns deep into July.  By the way, I solute your preparedness with the cold beers waiting back at the car.
