Worked all morning, but kept an eye on the Snoqualmie Pass WSDOT camera. When it showed clearing about 1 pm I took off. Drove to Windy Pass (3800') and skinned immediately from the car. A couple of brief, bare patches. Early in the climb saw two pairs of skis and heard voices in the woods, but never saw these people(?). In the lower basin found one 78-year-young gentleman telemarking. I made three 900 vf yo-yo runs (starting at 5300') and went home happier than I arrived. This coming week's warm weather will shut this one down. Oh, yes, lots of black goo on the ski bases on the descent through Ollalie Meadows (nice name for a clearcut), so I would recommend carrying white gas and a rag for now (although the old guy told me vegetable oil works as well as white gas).
