Thinking the road was still blocked before the trailhead to Inglalls pass we thought Bean Creek would be a good destination. Saturday about mid-day was a warm hike in, a few wildflowers showing thier stuff, with the creek crossing presenting a small problem. We skinned to about mid-way in the drainage and gained the ridge where the snow was continuous. Views of Stuart etc. were excellent. The run however consisted of wet manky snow, with hot conditions in the afternoon sun.The creeks were running high and frothy brown with all the snow melt. Sunday was an earlier start with a high overcast which provided better snow conditions. We skinned to Earl peak took in the views again made the run, this time leading to grins, and skinned back up again for another. The ski out was fast and we were back at camp in no time. With the warmer weather and rapid snow melt Bean creek is through for the ski year. 8)
