A morning break in the weekend clouds tempted my faithful ski dog Halley up to the mountains - I figured I'd tag along.  For those of you who are into it, this is  an excellent Rhody hike when they're out - probably a month away, maybe less.  Plenty of Trillium and a few Calypso orchids are out now.

Up top there were limited views of the interior Olympics, Puget Sound and the San Juans - not the 5+ volcano day that is available when it's clear, but a nice reward.  The north chutes are in great shape and should be for a while.  The ski back down the east side to the TH was a bit dodgy and probably won't last too much longer.
