Another evening cruise up Pilchuck. Just booted up the trail, which is melted out about half way. The rocks of the summit ridge provided a fun scramble, made interesting with rando boots. The Gunsight is melting out fast, skier's left is gone and the right side is icy and dicey with exposed rocks threatening at the bottom. Many "crevasses" are melting out on Larrison ridge, and the lower mountain requires threading the needle to connect snow. We didn't have em, but helmets advised. Thanks to Mr. Doober for the Rain-Ex idea to deal with the pollen - don't know if the problem is fading, or the Rain-Ex did it, but I cruised down with just a tiny bit of goo by the time we removed skis.
