Five of us crossed the Nisqually glacier from Paradise, which shows no opening yet at this elevation.  We then went up along the "other" side of the glacier toward the Wilson, then up on the ridge.  This was much better approach over the popular chute, which was full of debris mixed w/ rock.  A lot of climbing parties going up and down as we ascended toward the Kautz Ice Fall.  We stopped at 10k west edge of a cleaver over looking the Kautz glacier.  We saw a lone camper at this spectacular spot.

The snow was a bit irregular for the first 1000', then nice corn, then sticky wet mank.  Skiing overall was great, all the way down to the little foot bridge near the Comet Fall trail.

Nice day, with good skiing and good company.  Not many photo opportunities today, low clouds below 9000', and these guys were too fast for photo sessions.  Rob at the toe of Wilson Glacier; Kautz Ice Fall.
Saw you guys out there-- wished I was on skis. That'll be remedied tomorrow. Glad you had fun!
