Knowing what lies ahead, around 5pm Moments later... and dinner followed. Before frost chased us into our bivys, John introduced me to his
A couple of turns followed by a descending traverse put us on a bench. It was a short skin and boot to gain east shoulder of Mt Pleasant. The views of Rainier were rewarding as I hear John ask if I had any mountain money left. Musta been the broccoli.
Excellent corn was found on north and west facing slopes so much time was spent lapping these. South and east aspects were a bit mushy so avoided when possible.
