Drove up Jon Bon Jovi pass, took a left and headed towards Little Quilcene River trail (#835 I believe). Rather than take the trail, we drove down the road a bit farther to the river washout and booted the more direct line straight up through the brush to the bowl we planned to ski. About 1000 ft of easy, but steep brush before we hit snow and the roughly 1,500 ft. snow bowl. 2 hours up, hour down. As others have noted, what Mt. Townsend lacks in ruggedness and height, it makes up for with the views.

the Olmpics

and out towards Sequim and Vancouver Island

The bowl on the Northeast face that we skied. Fog rolled in as we began our decent

Saw another party on the South summit, who I'm guessing approached from the South. Pretty much every forest road in the area is now melted out. Only a few more weeks before I'd say all the snow on Townsend will be gone and the flowers will be out.
Was the bowl you went up to directly on the east side?

I didn't have a compass with me or anything, but I would say it was more northeast. We started from near the north, and slightly lower summit.
