In and out sun on the drive south, but breeze blowing up valley to Crystal and foggy once there.  There were a few other hardy souls headed up, but not many.  Brief snow shower (or rain depending on your altitude) around 5800', then saw wide results of slushalanche as we began the final 300' to the col between the King and 3way. Some clearing, but 4" light slush over 8" heavier slush was uninspiring.  We bailed for other sunnier activities at lower more northerly environs.

Perhaps the more dedicated skiers at Crystal today can describe beautiful conditions and bluebird skies that might have occurred later in the day?

Hoping for better weather tomorrow for the birthday celebration.
We spent a lot of time on top and near the top of the Silver King waiting for visibility gaps to ski down. Had to make sluffs and let them ride and ski in their wake in one stretch. The groomers from base of chair 6 and down were quite fun even if not steep. Off groomers is mush city.
