After some great BC skiing in Austria in April, it was time to use the wonderful weather we have had here for the last 3 weeks and finally do a first outing in Switzerland. The Sustenhorn in the central Swiss Alps was a great first tour...

More picture here.
Them there looks like real mountains, Michael.
Thanks for the report and the great Pics.
We missed you in the GT class this year.

Thanks for adding some international flavor, Michael, it looks great!

Looks like moguls are starting to form in the bottom picture - is there a lift there as well?

Thanks Ron - definitely miss the great GT class and the great instructors !!

Greg: this is one of the "classic" trips of the area and the bottom picture was pretty close to the car (nice thing here to have roads which go so high up!!) and I think a lot of people ski around there. There is no lift in the area but tons of BC skiers in Switzerland. There will be a derby (rando race) at that place next week end.

We were skiing moguls on an constriction point on the Todi tour (central Switzerland) a few weeks back - apparently easter weekend had been quite busy and we were there right after the weekend. Lotsa tourers all over the mountains we traveled in, though we also found some relative solitude.

Nice report Michael.  Looks like your having some great trips despite the lower snowpack this year.  Good to hear from you!
