Skied out to Jolly Mt via Sasse Ridge on Saturday. The west facing slopes of Sasse Ridge are holding skiable snow down to approx to 3k. I found the snow along the top of Sasse Ridge to be a mixed bag¦firm where previously exposed to the sun and some lingering shallow powder (up to 2 inches) in the trees. The last 500 feet on the north side of Jolly was boot deep powder. It was snowing and blowing on the summit with zero viz when I arrived. Too bad as I was looking forward to the view. The slopes on the west side of Sasse Ridge had corned up a bit when I arrived for the descent to the car. Good day all around. Thanks to Larry_R for giving me some pre-trip tips regarding this tour.
