Tim, Khahn, Tobae, Joe and I made the long drive Friday night and after a good meal in Winthrop we settled in at the gate a few miles out of Mazama.  Clear night with lots of stars all too quickly gave way to clouds.  Got an early start on frozen snow up the Silverstar Creek, easy travelling.  Cut right across the creek at around 4,500 and stayed right up towards Burgundy Col.  Think the left side is faster, but there were tracks up the right side.  Just as the NOAA weather site predicted, at 11 am the weather moved in and as we were approaching the Silverstar Col it cramped our progress in a total white out.  Came to a col that were a couple hundred feet lower than what the Silverstar Col should be at.  After some messing around with the map, the gps, and some backtracking we figured it out and booted to the col.  The scramble to the summit was fun, but the views were non existent.  Luckily the light did not stay flat for too long for the ski down and we were able to enjoy some good turns down the Silverstar Glacier.  Stayed skiers right all the way to the car and had some very enjoyable corn turns.  Good company and good trip.
