April 6, 2007 Chair Peak Basin Dawn patrol
« on: 04/06/07, 11:21 AM »

Had a delightful morning tour to chair peak basin. Snow was well frozen until the little bench where the old snow lake trail went. There it was softer and somewhat unconsolidated. Occasional 1 foot deep gwanch. Better corn found in chair peak basin to a little ways past footstool...and then avy debris above.

Now I must support the GNP...by reading more trip reports.

Hey androolus, can gwanch ever be classified as mank? If so what kind of mank rating would you give it?
