May 6 Hidden Lakes Peak
Was able to sneak out midweek wth the perpetually free DW and RB. Drove to within 1/2 mile of TH. 20" pile blocking. Approach road has a downed tree where vehicles with roof boxes may need a saw with them to get through. Approach trail mushy and woods did not have enough snow to ski. Put skis on at regular spot at appr 4600'. Encountered 2 to 4" of fresh on a hard crust. We had sunbreaks and snow showers during day. Snowing at TH. Very interesting avy debris formations in Sibley Creek. Snow above 6000' was, dare I say the P word in May, wonderful and dry. Wetter down below. On steeper slopes the fresh slid. We had two great 2200' runs to the thick trees on nw aspect from summit.
It will take awhile to corn up after the recent new. Who needs corn with great snow like this! ĘKeep the freshiez coming. 7300 vf.

Looking forward to the next ski trip.
