Got out today on Mt. Snoqualmie.  We headed a little too far left on the way up and topped out on a ridge.  We were able to see the exit of the slot and crooked couloir from here.  This was fine with us because we then got to enjoy a nice powdery run before getting back on track.  Since I did not have ski crampons like Christophe, I booted up the upper half of the mountain.  We looked at the slot couloir but it looked like very hard snow so we skiied straight back down to the parking lot.  It was really nice.  You could find about 6" of wind accumulated powder all the way down.  Most turns I would feel the hard surface below but just barely.  Towards the bottom, the sun was starting to corn up the nonpowdery terrain.  I was dubious about the conditions to start but it turned out to be a great day.
