Skied the bowl north of Heather Ridge, sticking mainly to the trees since I was alone (though certainly a number of others were skiing here today). Four or five inches of very light new powder on somewhat denser snow from the earlier storm made for excellent skiing on steeper aspects and a bit slow going (but still fun) on moderate slopes. Putting in a skin track alone is definitely work. Light snow falling with little wind pretty much all day - what happened to the forcasted sunshine?
Skied similar aspect on some more open slopes, with no signs of instability. However, upon return to the south/east facing slopes on heather ridge towards the ski area, there was significant wind loading on the slopes. Wind buffed snow would support your weight completely in certain areas, and in others there were wind slabs of 3-5 inches.
