Reasonable snowboarding and skiing near Blewett Pass. We left the Blewett Pass sno-park road around 9:30am. The place was packed with snowmobiles. There were low hanging clouds until we got near 5,500 ft. Then, the views were spectacular of the Stewart Range. We boarded/ skied just South of Diamond Head. Diamond head looked bare, mostly dirt/rocks. However, the peak we were on was still snow covered. We boarded the North facing peak. It was thinly covered by 1" of fresh powder over a crusty base. This made for fast boarding, but challenging grabbing an edge. We did not need snowshoes. The ride back along the forest road was down hill, but with about 1 mile of nearly flat (difficult for us boarders). I'm always looking for partners on the weekend- either one or both days! Cheers, Andy
