Seeing that past couple of TRs for Granite I figured I give it a shot yesterday. Unfortunately I didn't have the same experience. Trail from the parking area is really slick in places, but not treacherous. I actually never made it to the top because of a late start and the wind was picking up and keeping things pretty firm. The sunnever really warmed things up enough to get the corn, but I did get a few good turns in. I never skinned, just booted the whole way and booted back down once I got to the trees. Might be better this weekend if it warms up any.
Sorry that you did not find corn, but thanks for the report as it is always educational to learn how conditions were on a particular day, instead of just wondering. I guess the main factor must have been the wind, because looking at the telemetry around Snoq Pass for your day and mine (the previous day) suggests that the temps themselves were not much different.
