January 28. 2007, **confidential location**

I have been sworn to secrecy about this location but the pics may give some clues if you have been around here. I can only say that it is in the eastern Cascades.

Started skinning up at 7:30 am in very cold temps and icy conditions. I was forced to boot up one steep section, but higher up it was in the sun enough to offer excellent traction for the remainder of the morning. Once we got up into the sun it warmed up considerably.

NE facing slopes that have not seen much if any rain yielded nice turns on a very smooth surface of old pow and hoar frost. I could not believe after reading other TR's lately that I would get this kind of run on Sunday.



in all it was a fine day and we were home by noon!

unfortunately this line includes a "feet wet" exit so we opted to save it for another day
