This was one trip that I really felt fortunate to be part of. Conditions, weather, and good company made for a great time on this backcountry outing.
On Saturday, we started the trip with a 2 mile tour up the Twin Lakes road where we departed on the old YAB trail and proceeded to grunt our way up through the dense forest. In about 4.5 hrs time we made it to the tree line about 5600' where we set up our camp. A few folks in the party had cashed some supplies in bear barrels some time in the mid fall. This was quite a luxury and such a good idea. Thanks again to Tom and friends who made this trip happen.......I only have a few pictures that might give you a brief glimpse of our experience. Cheers to everyone who made these turns high above the Mt. Baker Highway.
