Usually we yoyo East Peak, Cement basin and Union Creek to get in the most vertical and turns in for the day, but since ski conditions were a little challenging, we decided to check out the area north of Norse Peak. I am always amazed at the variety of terrain and options if you take a little extra time to tour out a little farther than usual.

We found some interesting wind formations along the way with some of the deepest sastrugi I have ever seen. Overall was a nice day for touring/bcskiing¦

I agree Ron...that's a great shot. I'm suspicious, though...it looks like a Cristo sculpture: "Cascades Ridge Stacked With White Styrofoam" perhaps. :) :) :)
