I took the hyak chair whilst wolf and jay skinned the ski run. They were fast so I only got one run on the beautiful groomer. After meandering crosscountry trails, we found ourselves skinning up somewhat windblow snow in the clearcut. Upon the entering the old growth, the snow conditions improved. We encountered snowtrolls guarding the way, but we were not detered. (see photos).
We skinned up the middle of the N side to within 100ft of the summit, but turned around since the snow was slabby near the top. The skiing down from there to the cliffs below was pretty good with about 1 foot of somewhat heavy powder. Below that it was a little stiff, but still okay.
