Five of us got to Longmire to learn that the road to Paradise wouldn't be open till 11:00 AM. When we got there, we found about 10" new snow, POWDER! Since the avy danger was "considerable" above 4,000, we headed down the road, up the bottom of MAzama Ridge (trail breaking all the way), found a  place to cross the creek and skinned up the south facing slope across from Mazama, called "Sweet Potato" by some, "Bundy's Plunder" by others in our group. Had some great runs in deep powder on various aspects of the slope. By about 3:00 PM the snow got heavy. It had been snowing all day, but now definitely wetter snow. Ended the day by skiing over Devil's Dip down to Narrada Falls, where we had left a second vehicle. True to the forecast of snow level being at 4,500 (the elevation of Narrada). it was now raining. Another great day in Paradise!
Another fine report.

I second that! Thank you for the mid-week reports, and the useful details you include - it helps a lot for weekend planning to have them. And...keep 'em coming!
