Had some very nice skiing on West facing, gladed slopes below 5000' with about 8" of light snow on top. Stability was good. Expected much deeper snow, but appears that what fell at higher temps had consolidated. Above tree line, the snow was wind affected but still good, maybe 3" deep. Under some trees there was an occassional pocket of crust forming, but never affected the skiing much. Also noticed a distinct layer of graupel snow crystals. Great day. Too bad for the lift area not running, must have been without power.
