Had a great morning at Alpental today. Nasty icy crud up to about 4000', improving to an inch or two of nice powder on a firm crust near the top of the Armstrong lift and above. Got to about 4600' before we hit our turnaround time. The snow here was quite decent and we were above the fog. Great views of fog spilling over the pass. Enjoyed nice turns until we were back in the icy crud, at which point we stuck to the corduroy groomers most of the way back to the car.

We never got above the fog at Hyak. Shouda gone to Alpental instead of Hyak!
