The bombing Scotsman mentioned in his Summit Central thread was apparently over by the time I arrived at Alpental for the lunch patrol. Myself and another party of two climbed to the top of Armstrong and then on to the summit, which as usual had some great views.

I made one lap down Nash and headed home to run errands and start dinner. It would have been great to do another, but I was frankly pretty happy just to get out. The snow was just fine - soft, a little denser than last weekend (which was amazing), but lots of fun and sooo close to home.

Edelweiss bowl was very filled in and the top looked like it had been set up (rope lines and signs were up, things were being skied and checked out by patrollers). If they open the top tomorrow, the first few laps should be very nice.
