Skinned up to the top of Silver King to dig a pit. Was a short day of only about 800 ft of gain but good fun and nice fluffy powder. The Full pit revealed 156 cm of snow. 65 cm foot pen. Really, only a few layers, the upper 32 cm, then another 35 cm with a rain crust. Had two easy shears at 118 and 106, but not very clean, and I attribute to all the fresh, I suspect that it will firm up fairly well.
There was a clean Moderate shear at 85 on the facets atop the rain crust, I expect that this will persist and cause issues for some time to come in the area.
Was a fine, though brief shot down to the car.
