Somehow I convinced myself that messing around the pass area might be fun, so headed up mid morning. There's about 2 feet of snow in the Alpental area, great coverage for this time of year, however the snow was concrete-hard due to the rain the previous day. Late-spring conditions without the late-Spring coverage found me messing around for only a short while before I saw the error of my ways. Still, with no one around and some turns it, its*great* to see so much snow already, we are off to a great start!
