Nov 18, 2006, White River canyon area, Mt Hood

I spent the day touring with a bunch of folks from Telemarktips. We skinned a little ways above Tline then skied several of the mellow and short shots down the side of White Rive canyon. There was a tiny amount of fresh interspersed with patches of firmer snow, and some springish snow way down low. We got good views into White Rive canyon. I'm not too familiar with WR, but Shred (that's Pat's nickname) is and he says the walls on the side of it are much deeper now. See 3rd photo.

White River - this is the outlet of the White River glacier were glacial outbursts released washing out highway 35.
