I was up at Timberline yesterday and conditions were better than I expected. I skinned up to the top of the Palmer in varying visibility but was lucky that visibility was good all the way back down. There was good powder in some of the gullies just East of the Palmer lift line, enough to motivate skinning back up to the Palmer mid station to do it again. Coverage on the magic mile is thin but it is easy enough to pick a route all the way back to the lodge.
