Everest area Home made skies Nepal April 2006

I was trekking to Everest base camp. Because of crowed trail at Namche Bazar we plan to go Rango Pass. When we gat to Thame we gat a big snow storm one meter of snow next morning and it is snowing. So we go back to Namche Bazar. On the way Namche Bazar and Thynboche we see many Local people skiing with their home made plastic tube skies.
They were happy skiing with their home made skies as much as our high tech ski gear.

I think the Yaks need help with their telemark technique... clearly they don't have the proper tele stance.
