I thought it might be time to beat the annual Hadley Peak drum for those of you who have not yet come to appreciate the joke implicit in this site's name.

There are turns to be had, for sure -- dodging the occasional crack and rock.  With the Wells Creek approach to Cougar Ridge still missing one bridge, the approach to Hadley right now is about 5 hours from the Skyline Divide trailhead, or maybe seven hours from the Artist's Point parking lot.

While on

Sure would be nice to have a
TAY dictionary-

Cooler: Noun; variant of the more popular term couloir.  A steep, rocky defile with a thin ribbon of snow down the middle.  After skiing or snowboarding to the base of the snow, you will find a six-pack of good beer just melting out.  (unless I was there first.)
