zig zag/palmer 8/22+

trucks in the shop in portland, timberline has been great place to camp, good people there,, just wish hood offered a little more angle than twenty degree max at that aspect below the crater,, tuesday  hiked with dog from parking lot up to the top of the snowfield above palmer huge suncups where the snow was dusty, otherwise light suncupage, then ripped palmer (staying out of the raceing lanes) after the groomers did there work, did two more laps on palmer, wensday  hiked with dog from parking lot up to the ribbon just below crater rock which drops into the zig zag, only about a ten foot section of pumice that had to be negotioated, the ribbon was moderatly suncupped, the zig zag only had light suncups in areas, mostly smooth though,, then traveresed over to palmer at the end of the zig zag snow,, which was about level with the silcox hut, hiked up a little ways then enjoyed the groomer,, yesterday hiked up from the parkinglot with dog, did four laps on palmer, will probally be stuck here until midnext week, to bad the crater shots are horribly runnelled and cupped, if anyone wants to hit another aspect on hood before mid next week im down,, got harness, light rope, i here the snowdome? is good, looks smokey over to the east though
