Fantastic day -- nice to meet so many of you. Nate has photo-proof of Sam actually in the water up to his neck, though it happened far less frequently than in my own pond-crossings.
Now, where's this "winter" thing I've heard so much about?

If only we could have the Slush Cup in May or June...
This time of year has become an everything-but-skiing period for me - sorry to miss the festivities again. It looks like the planners got it just right for the condition of the pond, and the weather obviously cooperated nicely. Congratulations!
Are any of you photographers interested in sending me photos to run on the TAY "cover"? I could put up a new photo every couple of days, just like a much more well known bc skiing site does. Only the best, of course.

Yo Phil - Your skis look damn near vertical when you hit the water, making for the ideal back flop.
This was alot of fun, and nice to see many old and new faces.

Ahh yes, but I did manage to keep my hair dry all day! I love pond skimming! Good times, for sure!

Here's where you can send your Slush Cup photo(s) for the "cover" (anti-spam format, and don't save it as it is a junker): slush A-T turns-all-year D-O-T com
If you want to send unedited photos that's fine, I will crop/resize. If you want to do the editing yourself, here are the guidelines:
jpeg file, hopefully under 100kb max width = 630 pixels landscape orientation preferred
If you know the identity of skier/boarder in the photo, please include it (put it in the file name?) and also include your name for photo credit.
I will put up new photos as they come in and I have time. Thanks to Mad Dog for the first photo!

great shots everyone, it was a blast up there for sure! i liked the additional props, ie, blow up lady, viking helmet, and inflatable moose. one question though--who won the mushroom award??
thanks to everyone for a hilarious day, and a special high 5 to those who took some big diggers, or who took on a little more than their fair share of pond water...

that was a great day. A lot more skiing than I had expected. Seeing as that was the first time Brenda and I had ever skied in August, we're thinking about maybe starting a TAY streak.
Who's got that shot of Kevin making that last run over the kicker? Hopefully the photo is as dramatic as the real thing.

Was good to meet you David. But I think Sami would have given the Seafair Hydros a run for their money, way out of my league
Now I just have to figure out how to keep my wife from seeing this thread... perhaps not the reputation she wants for her man...
Echoing others, great to put some more faces to names and enjoy some surprisingly good turns and fantastic camaraderie. Thanks to the Kam crew for the bonus weiners.
Next year, I will be riding a smorgasboard.

I wish that i could've been there. I was too beat after a long hike, kayak and bike trip. Maybe if you had wheelchair access to the course?
Hopefully i'll be able to make it next year.
