The weather, views, and skiing were so good (and the traffic so bad) it was necessary to spend both days this weekend at Artist Point and beyond.  WiFi at Mt. Baker ski area allowed me to email and voip buddies in Seattle encouraging them to seize the day on Sunday.  Then a pleasant meal folowed by a beautiful sunset on Mt. Shuksan prepped me for a comfortable night in Telemon's Explorer Ecolodge, much quieter than the nearby Mountaineers Lodge (except for the surprise Saturday night teenagers rubber burning races in the ski area parking lot.)

Up at 630AM for bacon and eggs, off at 0800 feeling refreshed for a few runs on east facing slopes, then over to the 460' patch Chris found last week on south facing slopes.  Suncups were soft and buttery, and after a few runs by the three of us, almost groomer like smooth.

This coming weekend will likely be more of the same.
