Surfing and skiing (sort of) all in the same day. Becky and I spent the morning in the water at Pacific City and then that afternoon after the wind had kicked up and the waves were past their prime, it was time to stash the wetsuits and surfboards and grab the rock skis from the car.
A short distance from the Cape Kiwanda parking lot is a great little dune that made for some very entertaining skiing.
If you're ever down in Pacific City...bring your skis (and maybe a surfboard too)

dusted the cobwebs off my 195 k2 Extremes (the ones with the 'budweiser racing team' graphics I found at a Goodwill store in college for $20) and Becky's equally old Tua Megas...suprisingly little damage to them.
