2AT folks and myself the token telemarker skied up Skyline (Heather) Ridge on US 2 under sunny skies. Hoping to find leftover dehydrated powder from the storm remnants of the previous week, we were not disappointed! N. Aspects beyond the ridge were primo with 8-12" of very light powder  8) covered with 1/2-1" of hoar frost (worth keeping an eye on in the future). Views from the top of the ridge were excellent including Glacier Peak, Kyes, Hinman, Daniel, Stuart to make the rounds. Wind picked up in the afternoon from the SW but did not see any transport in our location. Very nice conditions as the skis could run and would bust through bumps and over logs in the light stuff. Coverage was fair, 5-6' base, very stable. Avy forecast was low and seemed accurate, no signs of instability noted. The only complaint of the day was the predictable lousy return trip down Heather Ridge to the car over the re-frozen crust, a shameful waste of elevation...
