Arrived at Paradise to a beautiful high cloud cover. This stayed with us most of the day and kept things quite cool and pleasant. Skiing was good despite suncups. The upper 2000 feet have these delightfully large suncups that can be skied like moguls. The clouds kept things from getting too sticky. Suprisingly the best skiing was lower down on the little snowfield just to the skier's right of pebble creek. Had a brief carry to get there. Just small suncups there. Could have made a great day of just yoyo'ing that.
I thought the same thing of that little snowfield and I was very close to cruising over there. As it was, I was fighting daylight to get back to my car (in which I promptly locked my keys when I reached the parking lot. Don't ask me how). Now I'm kicking myself for not skiing that little patch. If it skied anything like it looked, I agree that yoyoing it would've made for a great day.
