We were planning a photo day hike near Sisters Oregon to give Chuck's blisters a chance to heal, but the unexpected snow on Tam McArthur Rim (above 3 Creeks Lake) made Eric and I grab the skis to see what we could find. We headed straight up from the end of the lake, ignoring the regular trail. An easy hike through the trees to the rim results in great views. I found a steep finger dropping straight down from the left center of the rim, then traversing above a rock band over to the center slope, while Eric took an easier line skiers right. Snow was very good firm corn.
