The top slope of the Wy'east was in great condition on the 24th, but the suncups below it were hard and bumpy, with lots of pumice grit, making for unpleasant skiing. Jeff tried to traverse over to the summit, but found the gully to be a deadly shooting gallery, so prudently returned and insisted that we go up the dog route the next day so he could tag the top.
