WA Cascades West Slopes South (Mt Rainier)

Still good. A short carry up to Pan Point and a little beyond. The snow was not as mushy or grabby as I was afraid of. Descended on "the ridge" again between the cowpath and Paradise glacier and looked down to impressive open crevasses. One 10 second portage on the way down. We found a thin passage into the Edith Creek basin towards the west side of it's headwall, and traversed back to the lodge. Not enough to ski to the road down Edith Creek. First AT trip for Steve.
