Skied the Fryingpan Glacier on Wednesday at MRNP. I found great corn conditions from Whitman Crest (approx. 9,300 ft) down to about 6,500 ft. Below this elevation the suncups and runnels began to take over and make things less pleasant.
Theres no lack of snow. The Summerland trail is 80% snow covered from mile 2 to the Fryingpan Creek bridge, with 100% coverage beyond that. I am guessing the snowpack is 5+ feet in the Summerland area.
