June 13, 2006, Silver Peak Dawn Patrol

Or perhaps Doofus patrol. Cloudy, Foggy, but it only rained whilst I was skiing down.

I parked the car at windy pass around 5am. There is a small log over the road and large patches of snow start on the road there as well. I could only start skinning halfway up the clearcut. I would suspect that those patches will be gone in a week. Did a little bushwhack to get into the NE bowl proper. I was able to skin to the usual spot on the North Ridge. The Annette Lake side is devoid of snow except for small patches here and there.

Lots of suncups and runnells on the ski down, but midly enjoyable....and it was skiing after all. Perhaps better than sleeping.
