Work has slightly slacked off for a short time, so I took advantage of the lull and headed to Alpental in the early afternoon where a solo safe ski was possible. Took a few pics and enjoyed the views, then quick ski down and back to the bridge at 6 PM.
I was a little worried about soft snow conditions and slides, so I went up the cat tracks and followed the chairs. Conditions were fairly firm with some areas of slush. I skinned most of the way with only one 100 yard carry (soft snow and steep track). The temp at the new bridge was 71 and the top was 62 degrees. I skied thru the bowl and passed 4 skiers booting up a little lower.
The ski wasn't as smooth as expected, but hey, for a short drive and a semi-alpine experince, who cares! Good stuff for sure. We're lucky to have this so near.

Hey, what can you expect from moguls? ;D
Upper and Lower 'Nash corned up at 7am. And nobody was there from 5:45 to 7:15. Imagine that.
