May 13 - Nisqually Chute

A friend and I headed to the Nisqually chute to cure our hunger for some corn.  We started at Paradise at 8:45 and skinned firm snow to the top of the chute.  After a good lunch on the rocks, we descended the chute at 11:45.  This was apparently "corn:30", because the snow had softened to a perfect creamy consistency.  The chute is in fantastic shape and we were lucky enough to have the first tracks in it of the day.  :)

We had to be back in Seattle for the afternoon, so we didn't make the trip up to Muir, but the skiing from 10,000 ft looked like it would've been delightful as well.

Spring skiing is good for the soul ... get after it.  8)
