Hope this isn't some of our folks: http://www.komotv.com/stories/22249.htm There was talk of this trip on one of the TR threads a month or so ago. Hope they're ok and just hunkered down in a snowcave.

I hadn't seen your post, Ron, and replied to jhamaker's planned trips post: "After reading the newspaper report today about the 2 missing skiers, I have a bad feeling about this trip. The origin, destination, timing, and party size correspond. The 2 missing skiers started out from Crystal on Saturday, according to the paper, which would have been right at the tail end of the big windstorm and one day before the avalanche in Cement Basin."
Let's hope for the best.

James and fellow skier just walked out safe ,cold and hungry. Got it from family. I knew he was tough!

That's very cool. Guess it WAS nothing more than snowcave practice :-) Here's a link to the story: http://www.komotv.com/stories/22271.htm

It's great that they made it, and under their own power too. A trip report, and maybe they remembered to take some photos?
