Thursday, Pretty good skiing, but it is different. Got used to all that deep powder. Early morning, a little mushy at the base. Although Parking lot A was full, the ski crowd seemed a little sparse. Groomers were very nicely groomed and crisp. CMAC and Rolling Knolls were so perfectly groomed that we could almost straightline down them. Even Iceberg Gulch seemed to be groomed. Snorting Elk was nice and smooth.

The weird part was the ripping East wind that scoured Green Valley rim. Sometimes the blown ice was a real face stinger. Green Valley Bowl and Iceberg were very smooth but not icey. They had plenty of grip to them.

Sunnyside was wind sculpted with about six inches loose under a slight crust.

Right at the top of Deer Fly and lower Bull Run, the snow became pre-mush, like stepping on the brakes.

Lower runs got soft about noon and got crisp again about 2:30. Mostly filtered sun, no precip.
