Marketa, Zach, Brian and I (plus a couple of pooches) headed up to Boullion Basin for a day in the sun.

The snow was great and we found powder everywhere we looked.  The compression test on the north facing slope showed a solid snow pack.  We did see some skier induced sluffing of the top 3-5" of fresh snow on steeper slopes.  The crystals of the new surface snow were very large flat and made for some excellent skiing.

Stairway to heaven:

Marketa kicking up some smoke in the flats:

Can I have your lunch?

Good to see you on top Paul B.  Give us a report of the lines you skied :)
What? Report?

Here's a movie clip.

Nice snow.  :)

Sun-baked slopes were more difficult skiing and were sluff-prone. One run and we headed for northern aspects. I suspect that the lower layers are consolidated enough to not slide, but the snow is better on north faces anyway.

Northern slopes had pretty deep powder. Not epic, but really really fun.

Jibber, two feet over we found an untracked slope! Untracked and powder filled. Mmmmm...
